About Principal
Dr. L. Basavaraj
completed his bachelor’s degree from Bapuji Institute of Engineering and Technology Davangere. After that, he started his teaching career as a Lecturer in Electronics and Communication Engineering at STJIT Ranibennur for about three years. After completing his Masters in Digital Electronics at SDM College of Engineering Dharwad in 1994 he joined Bapuji Institute of Engineering and Technology as Lecturer in Electronics and Communication Engineering.
Later, he served at Vidya Vardhaka College of Engineering as a professor Head of Department of Electronics and Communication for about thirteen years. Since 1st February 2013, he is serving as a Principal of this prestigious Institute.
Professional Experience
Apart from teaching and research, he is a regular speaker on domain-specific and l engineering related lectures in several conferences, pedagogical training, and workshops.
His area of interest is VLSI, Signal Processing and Bio-Medical Signal Processing.
He served as an academic senate member of VTU from 2019 to 2022.
He is a life member of ISTE and CSE.
