Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC)
The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) at ATME College of Engineering is the post-accreditation quality sustenance mechanism set up in line with NAAC guidelines. IQAC drives planned, systematic and continuous improvement in the academic and administrative performance of the institution.
Vision
To institutionalise a culture of quality consciousness across all academic and administrative units of ATMECE.
Mission
- Develop a system for conscious, consistent and catalytic action to improve the academic and administrative performance.
- Promote measures for institutional functioning towards quality enhancement through internalisation of quality culture and institutionalisation of best practices.
Objectives
- To ensure heightened levels of clarity and focus in institutional functioning towards quality enhancement.
- To ensure internalisation of the quality culture.
- To ensure enhancement and coordination among various activities of the institution.
- To channelise all efforts and measures of the institution towards academic excellence.
- To provide a sound basis for decision-making to improve institutional functioning.
- To act as a dynamic system for quality changes in higher education institutions.
Functions
- Development and application of quality benchmarks and parameters for academic and administrative activities.
- Facilitating the creation of a learner-centric environment conducive to quality education and faculty maturation.
- Arrangement for feedback responses from students, parents and other stakeholders.
- Dissemination of information on quality parameters of higher education.
- Organisation of inter and intra-institutional workshops, seminars on quality-related themes and promotion of quality circles.
- Documentation of various programmes / activities leading to quality improvement.
- Preparation of the Annual Quality Assurance Report (AQAR) to be submitted to NAAC based on the quality parameters.
Composition
IQAC at ATMECE is chaired by the Principal and includes senior administrative officers, a few teachers, a few distinguished educationists, representatives of local management, industry, alumni, parents and students. The cell is supported by a Coordinator and a member secretary.
