About the Department

In today's technology-driven world, computer applications play a central and increasingly important role from communication, accessing information to harnessing the power of AI to drive innovation, automation, and intelligent decision-making across various domains. Concerning the Department of Master of Computer Applications, we intend to assure a standard of excellence in imparting higher education by practicing Hands-on Labs and Projects, Interactive Lectures, Case studies, Problem-solving sessions, Technology Integration, providing Networking opportunities and involving students in Research opportunities — leading master students to benefit from a well-rounded education for the dynamic and evolving field of computer applications. The Department facilitates students to flourish their talent, enrich their expertise and competency. Students are also made spirited to become Entrepreneurs through expert talks by diversified resource persons. The current intake of the MCA program is 120 and the duration is two years (Four Semesters). The curriculum, designed by VTU, is aimed at broadcasting a wide spectrum of practice and knowledge in the computing domain in the latest and emerging technologies. The Department of MCA inculcates innovative teaching-learning methods and Outcome Based Education (OBE) to enable students to become intellectual as well as competent professionals.

Welcome to the Department of Master of Computer Applications at ATME College of Engineering. Our mission is to nurture postgraduate students into competent, ethical and innovative computing professionals through a balanced blend of rigorous academics, hands-on lab work, interactive lectures, case studies and problem-solving sessions. We integrate the latest technologies — AI, data analytics, cloud, web and mobile application development — with strong fundamentals in software engineering and databases. Our dedicated faculty mentor students through projects, internships, industry interactions and research initiatives, while expert talks from diversified resource persons inspire them to take up entrepreneurship. We strive to develop graduates who are intellectually strong, technically competent and ready to contribute meaningfully to the dynamic and ever-evolving world of computer applications.

  4. Modern Tool Usage: Select, adapt and apply modern computational tools such as development of algorithms with an understanding of the limitations including human biases.
