Report on Awareness Program on POCSO Act, Cyber Crime and Drug Abuse 

As a part of the Student ‘Induction Program 2025-26, an Awareness Program on the POCSO Act, Cyber Crime, and Drug Abuse** was organized for the engineering students On 18th Octobel’2025 in the College Auditorium. The awareness session was conducted by **Mr. Prasannakumar, and Mr. Srinivas, from the Police Department, Vijayanagar Police Station, Mysuru. The objective of the program was to educate students about legal awareness, online safety, and the harmful effects of substance abuse.

The speakers elaborated on the key provisions of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, highlighting the importance of understanding and preventing such offenses. They also discussed **cybercrimes* * emphasizing safe and responsible use of the internet, social media, and digital transactions. The session further covered the severe consequences of * *drug abuse, its legal implications, and its impact on an Individual’s health, career, and family.
