About SIH 2023

Smart India Hackathon is a nationwide initiative to provide students with a platform to solve some of the pressing problems we face in our daily lives, and thus inculcate a culture of product innovation and a mindset of problem-solving. The first four editions SIH2017, SIH2018, SIH2019, SIH2020 and SIH2022 proved to be extremely successful in promoting innovation out-of-the-box thinking in young minds, especially engineering students from across India.

Around 1300 teams have participated across the country in various nodal centers and students of ATMECE is one team among those shortlisted teams for Grand finale.

Students were offered with a 6 months Internship at NTRO (National Technical Research Organization) with a stipend of 30000/- per month.

About Roolathon 2023

Roolathon 2023 was a  24-Hour National Level Heckathon organized from December 21st to 22nd, 2023. Over 75 teams consisting 250 students from various engineering colleges in Karnataka and Kerala participated in the Roolathon heckthon competition.

Rooloo Innovations Pvt. Ltd presented three problem statements, and they generously sponsored the three prizes. There was also a separate category where students could develop solutions to society-related problems, with separate prizes available.

The boot camp aimed to introduce students to the principles of design thinking, entrepreneurship, problem-solving, and teamwork.

About the Boot camp

The boot camp commenced with insightful sessions on understanding the fundamentals of entrepreneurship and how to identify potential problems in our daily lives or specific areas lacking solutions. The facilitators provided comprehensive guidance on pitching ideas, analyzing the feasibility of solutions, and embracing the journey of trial and error in project development. The sessions encouraged students to think creatively, empathize with end-users, and brainstorm innovative solutions. Students were divided into groups comprising students from various universities and backgrounds. The challenge assigned to each group was to formulate a problem statement related to society, agriculture, or socio-economic issues. Once the problem statements were finalized, each group presented their findings in front of their peers and facilitators.

Event Outcome

The boot camp provided invaluable lessons in design thinking, entrepreneurship, and social cooperation. Our students gained a deeper understanding of problem-solving methodologies and the importance of collaboration in addressing complex issues.

About Anveshana 2024

ANVESHANA '24, BMSIT&M’s Flagship National Level Prototype Competition triumphantly conducted with remarkable achievements. Commencing in late November with the initial planning stages, we got 86 teams of 4 registrations across various states. The virtual presentation was the first round which was conducted on 30th January. The top 50 teams were called to the final round for a physical demonstration of their prototypes. GRAND FINALE was conducted on 23.02.2024 with most of the 50 teams visiting our campus and demonstrating their wonderful prototypes.

Event Outcome

Students participation till last round.

Students were able to meet industry & academia experts and get guidance on the project to make it even more better.

Knowledge transfer is one of major take away from the event.

About the Yukti 2k24 Fest

A VTU celebration that resonates with the aspirations of the young. Over 2,500 students from across the country have participated in YUKTI -2K24, a national youth festival, in Visvesvaraya Technological University in Belagavi. This event is not merely a gathering; it is a celebration of the boundless ingenuity and - cultural diversity that defines our university. The Computer Science & Design students of ATMECE have participated in various cultural events in VTU Regional Centre, Mysuru.

Students were able to exhibit their talents in the Cultural fest of the university.
