About CEA

Civil Engineering Association was shaped with the number one objective of revealing budding civilians of ATME to the challenges of career. The Association promotes the competencies of college students in co-curricular and extracurricular sports and maintains students and group of workers privy to the present day traits and to function as efficient participants of the profession and society with information of worldwide ramification of work. The Students of Civil Engineering Department constitute its participants.

The association organizes various activities and activities to unfold the possibilities of Civil Engineering in the contemporary international. The association offers enough opportunity for the students to improve their presentation talents, organizational skills and leadership traits, as a result gives a possibility for the general persona improvement of students. Our Association behavior useful seminars, visitor lectures, paper shows, workshops, technical events and cultural activities so as to advocate and promote innovative wondering, management abilities, artistic skills, cooperation and coordination and thus enable the members to feature on multi-disciplinary team.

Computer Science and Engineering Associations

Computer Society of India is the first and largest body of computer professionals in India. It was started on 6 March 1965 by a few computer professionals and has now grown to be the national body representing computer professionals.

The Computer Society of India is a non-profit professional society and meet to exchange views and information learn and share ideas. The wide spectrum of members is committed to the advancement of theory and practice of Computer Engineering and Technology Systems, Science and Engineering, Information Processing and related Arts and Sciences.

The CSI student branch started in the year 2012 in CSE Department.

Objectives of CSI

  • Facilitate Research, Knowledge Sharing, Learning and Career Enhancement among all categories of IT professionals.
  • Inspire, nurture and assist students to integrate into the IT community.
  • Percolate benefits of IT advancement to all sections of Indian Society.
  • Technology updates through Conferences, Seminars, Tutorials & workshop.

The Department of Computer Sciences Engineering had signed MoU with CISCO Systems, Bangalore on 21-01-2018. The CISCO centre of excellence on Advanced Networking available in the department provides world class networking infrastructure. The faculty members have been constantly trained by CISCO Networking Academy, to offer the latest industry relevant networking curriculum. The Department is offering the certification course CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate) to the students since 2018. The course provides practical hands-on experience to the students on networking concepts during the 110 hours of the course.

Objective of the Course:

 

This course is designed to impart knowledge about detailed knowledge of Computer Networks, various protocols used in Communication, Managing and configuring Cisco Switches and Routers and various WAN technologies

Outcomes:

 

The student was able to proficiently:

  • Explain network technologies.
  • Explain how devices access local and remote network resources.
  • Describe router hardware.
  • Explain how switching operates in a small to medium-sized business network.
  • Design an IP addressing scheme to provide network connectivity for a small to medium- sized business network.
  • Configure initial settings on a network device.
  • Implement basic network connectivity between devices.
  • Configure monitoring tools available for small to mediumsized business networks.

INTRODUCTION

The Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers (IETE) founded in 1953 is one of the leading Professional Society in India. With the great vision of founder and subsequent forefathers and stalwarts who were leading light of the Institution IETE, have been devoting and contributing for the advancement of Science and Technology in the fields of Electronics, Communication Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology and other related subjects. The IETE STUDENTS’ FORUM (ISF) is formed on 5th October 2012 in ECE Department.

OBJECTIVES OF ISF:

  1. Improving standard of Engineering Education
  2. Counseling the students in the emerging new opportunities
  3. Encouraging and motivating the outside Class room studies /Workshops/projects/Seminars
  4. Increasing the student base and corporate membership of IETE.

ACTIVITIES CONDUCTED/ORGANISED:

  1. To plan, organize Technical Programs, Special Lectures, Workshops, Seminars Symposia, exhibitions for the benefit of students.
  2. To provide common platform for students to exchange of ideas in technical topics of interest, e.g., curriculum, employment, higher educational opportunities, emerging trends, etc.

  4. Encourage team spirit and self-reliance among student members.

Mechanical Engineering Associations

The ISTE student chapter of ATME College of Engineering was inaugurated by Prof. S. B. Devaraj, Associate Professor, Dept of Chemistry, VidyaVardhaka College of Engineering, Mysore on 3rd of September 2012-2013. The program was presided by Dr. K. S. Srinivasan, Principal and Mr. Deepak. M. V. S, Asst Prof and ISTE Secretary, Dept of Mechanical Engineering.

Objectives

  1. Providing quality training programmes to teachers and administrators of technical institutions to update their knowledge and skills in their fields of activity.
  2. to assist and contribute in the production and development of top quality professional engineers and technicians needed by the industry and other organisations.
  3. Providing guidance and training to students to develop better learning skills and personality.

‘Innovation club’ was inaugurated by Dr. R. Balasubramainiam of SVYM (Swami Vivekananda Youth Movement ) on 20th Oct 2016. Speaking on the occasion to gathering Dr. R. Balasubramainiam emphasized about the importance of innovation to students at large and society in particular. He asked students to imbibe innovative mindset to be relevant in this globalized and competitive world.

Objectives

  1. To support and carry out mini and innovative projects.
  2. To conduct technical activities for students.

Mini project on Footstep Power Generator

Sharon Markus and  Prashanth N S did a mini project on “Mini project on Footstep Power Generator”, which was demonstrated in the inter collegiate project exhibition. It was recognised as best hobby project in the event.
