DATUM 2k25 – State-Level Technical Fest by the Department of Civil Engineering

The Department of Civil Engineering proudly presents “DATUM 2K25”, a premier state-level technical fest organized annually since 2017. Over the years, DATUM has evolved into a vibrant platform that celebrates innovation, knowledge sharing, and the spirit of healthy competition among budding Civil Engineering Students.

The fest was conceived with a vision to foster a positive and engaging learning environment, encouraging students to explore their technical potential while nurturing creativity, teamwork, and leadership skills. It serves as a dynamic forum where participants gain hands-on exposure, build confidence, and develop essential professional skills in an inspiring atmosphere.

Each year, students from across the state with a civil engineering background enthusiastically participate in DATUM, making it a wonderful platform to showcase talent, exchange knowledge, and experience learning through fun.

> Quizzie – Sharpen your civil engineering intellect through a competitive and fun-filled quiz.

> Poster Presentation – Showcase your innovative ideas and research through creative poster displays.

> Waste Wizard (Ideathon) – Present sustainable and practical solutions to real-world waste management challenges.

Non-Technical Events

> Minute Mania – Engage in exciting one-minute games that blend wit, agility, and fun.

> Reels Fun – Express your creativity and storytelling skills through short, engaging videos.

Rules and Regulations

Title of the event: Poster presentation

– Theme: Sustainable practices in civil engineering
– Two in a team
– Poster size: 27” (width) x40” (height)
– Presentation time: Maximum 4 minutes
– Participants should bringtheir own printed posters and place it at their designated stand specified at the event venue

Title of the event: Wizard Event- Ideathon

– Students must register for the event on or before 28.10.2025.
– Each team can have a maximum of two participants.
– All submissions and ideas must be original, innovative, and practical.
– Entries will be evaluated based on problem understanding, innovation, feasibility, and impact.
– The best idea will be selected for presentation at the venue, and the top two teams will receive Cash prizes.

Title of the event: Quizziee

– Two in a team
– Entry Fee: 50 per person
– First round: MCQ
– Second round : Oral ( 6 teams)
– judges’ decision will be final

Title of the event: Cad Do

– Solo Participant
– Entry fee: 50
– First round : MCQ
– Second round : Drawing ( single line diagram will provided, Plan and elevation shall be drawn by Participant)
– Evaluation will be based on Accuracy, Precision, Completion , drafting
– judges’ decision will be final
